Sr. Sales Engineer - Northeast

The Sales Engineer will work closely with the Sales Account Executive to qualify potential customers, explain complex technical matters, demonstrate the Aporeto solution and overcome customer objections. The Sales Engineer will provide pre sales support and ongoing trusted advice to customers. The Sales Engineer is a technically competent individual who will remain up to date with industry trends, company solutions and competitive offerings.

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of modern operating systems (Linux / Windows), host level networking, host level security and functional knowledge of kernels, sub-systems and the software development process. The ideal candidate will have four years or more of previous experience in Sales Engineering.

Job Functions

  • Pitch and demonstrate the Aporeto solution to potential customers
  • Strategize and provide technical council to the Sales Account Executive
  • Assist with proposal (RFP) process
  • Draft white papers or author blog post concerning technical matters
  • Design and implement customer solutions
  • Write scripts (JavaScript, bash, Python, etc) to accomplish customer requirements
  • Travel is required
