Principal Software Engineer

Job Description: Architect, develop and deliver the Aporeto enforcer which will run on every VM where Aporeto is deployed. Translate requirements from sales/marketing into code. Lead the team to deliver the Aporeto enforcer. Improve performance of Aporeto enforcer with a primary focus on reducing latency and increasing throughput for applications monitored
by Aporeto. Implement and optimize support for encryption for traffic monitored by Aporeto. Implement monitoring and enforcement support for Linux processes to support legacy environments. Implement the Aporeto datapath using netfilter, netlink and other infrastructure provided by the Linux kernel. Implement code for Aporeto policy resolution and enforcement in Linux datapath. Implement support for docker, kubernetes and other related software. Fix bugs and maintain existing code the of Aporeto agent. Implement API required to communicate with various backend services.

Education Required: Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related field

Experience Required: 4 years of experience as a Senior Software Engineer, Technical Leader, or related occupation

Special Requirements: Must have at least 1 year of prior work experience in each of the following:
1. Linux system programming.
2. In-depth knowledge of Linux networking subsystems.
3. Real-time constraints, threading and interrupt-level programming
4. Software security experience.
5. Experience with network protocols.
6. Experience with C, C++ or Go
7. Building and support enterprise grade products
